One design, two Dads ...

It's Father's Day in the UK this coming Sunday and I was short of ideas!  Eventually I managed to come up with one idea and made two cards - it feels a bit like cheating making two of the same!  Hopefully the Dads will just be pleased to get a handmade card.

I'm currently obsessed with creating background papers - the first card was made with shaving cream (apt for a male card!) and shades of blue ink to create a marbled effect and the second card was created by brayering chalk acrylic paints in shades of green onto card.

The top panel was attached using foam tape to add additional dimension
When I finished the first card I was very happy with it so decided to make the second one but now I'm not sure whether I like either of them!  As I'm unlikely to come up with another idea any time soon I guess they will just have to be OK - it is the thought that counts!!

As they are monochromatic I'm going to enter the current challenge at Virginia's View

Enjoy!
