I have been on a mission recently to design a Christmas card that I like and is quick to make ... I like this card but it certainly was not quick to make!
I love the effect of paper piecing but it can be very time consuming, This die is a Sue Wilson die from her Festive Collection ... it cuts beautifully. I used kraft card for the frame and then various pattern papers for the detail. I then adhered the finished panel to the card using a piece of fun foam to add dimension.
I'm entering this week's challenge at "Less is More" - the theme is 'Take Flight' - although my Robin is sitting on a branch I just know that he is about to take off!!
Enjoy!
I imagine it wasn't! (quick to make) but it WAS worth it!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful paper piecing Elaine, on such an intricate die too! Love the muted colour palette and the texture on your white mat is superb. Thanks so much for popping this in to us at Less is More xx
ReplyDeleteWow, stunning and time consuming to do, but totally worth it x
ReplyDeleteWell worth the effort, Elaine. Such a classy and brilliantly executed card. And great how you've retained the lovely white space in that wide border.
