Flower print ...

Today's post is all about printmaking and water colours.  I've been attending a printmaking course for some time and one of my favourite techniques is drypoint etching (scratching images onto a substrate, inking it up and then printing the image using a printing press).  I decided to take one of the images and see if I could water colour it ... I could and this is the end result:

This is the print without colour - just a black and white image ...

... here it is water coloured!

Enjoy!

Something different ...

This post is all about something different from my usual card making.  For sometime I have been participating in a Printing Evening class at the Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot.  The course is run by Liam Biswell a fine artist printmaker.  We have covered so many different types of printmaking - from monoprinting to lino cut, from drypoint etching to screen printing, from wood engraving to photopolymer plate etching.  The course is relaxed, fun and informative. I am enjoying all of the techniques but my favourite, by far, is drypoint etching.

I thought I would share with you some of my prints.
