Today seems to be scooting by ... it will soon be Monday!!
I have managed to create a card this afternoon that I didn't think I would be able to. When I saw this week's challenge at "Less is More" I was convinced that I wouldn't be entering as I was sure I didn't have any suitable stamps - the challenge is for a one layer card with the theme of BEVERAGES. However, my son suggested drawing a glass of beer and the rest, as they say, is history.
I created a stencil by hand drawing a beer glass and coloured the image using distress inks. I then used the only stamp remotely connected to beverages to add a sentiment in a similar way to the beer brand found on a pint glass. This is the final version:
It did take me three attempts to get it right!
I used:
Vintage Photo and Antique Linen Distress Inks
Versafine Onyx Black
Enjoy!
Love the colouring Elaine......trust a man to think of a beer :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a good weekend

Less is More
Brilliant idea, love the depth you created with the inks :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found a way to circumvent not having a stamp to suit! Was it lots of practice holding a glass of beer, or just super artistic talent that made this fabulous image? Makes me think of the ad: 'a hard-earned thirst needs a good cold beer' - you have certainly earned one Elaine!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, love this so totally suitable for a beer drinker too, love it :D x
