Back to the Gerbera ...

It seems that whenever I get stuck for ideas out pops my favourite Gerbera stamp set (Uniko Studio).  I'm also obsessed with trying the technique of colouring without lines - I stamped the main image with Spun Sugar distress ink which was almost too pale to see and then coloured it with Inktense pencils (another of my favourites!).

I stamped the image in spun sugar inside the card
Procrastination seems to have been my enemy today, it would seem the more time I have for crafting the less I seem to achieve!  I get easily side-tracked into trying out techniques and wandering around the internet looking for inspiration rather than getting on and doing!  I've decided that tomorrow I am going to start with a stamp set that has not seen the light of day and a colour scheme and go for it.

I'm going to enter two challenges both with the theme of "Anything Goes":

"Less is More"
Uniko Studio

Enjoy!

  1. This is beautiful Elaine,a really striking card,I would be very happy to get that in the post!

Hmmm I am terrible for blog nosing when I am supposed to be crafting. I now have tons of backgrounds waiting to be used but few ideas!

  2. Hi! This is truly amazing! Great colouring!! It looks real!! I also live the black background, it makes it unique. I like that!
I wish I had more time for crafting. I have two kiddos (3y & 10m) who take up most of my day with their endless demands so whatever I make has to be in the evening or in between their schedule. Having time for procrastination sounds heavenly ;) I get easily swayed too though, I love to play :)

  6. Really stunning art, Elaine! You achieved the most amazing dimension with your technique!!

I'm the same way with time management. The more I have, the less focused and productive I am. It's times like that when you need a hamster in your head, like I have, to rein you in and help you keep on course, lol!! Hugs, Darnell
