CAS time at Addicted to Stamps and More ...

It is time for the new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More ... and it is my favourite:

This is my card:

This is a simple CAS card with just a stamped image (coloured with Inktense pencils), a die cut panel adhered with foam for dimension and a sentiment.  One focal point and lots of 'white space'.  If you are unsure as to what constitutes CAS the following explains what we at ATSM look for:

Why not get out your materials and join in ... pop across to the blog and check out the design team cards.

Stylised Flowers ...

Good afternoon!  I've spent the afternoon crafting ... no work this week!  This is the first card I would like to share with you:

This card was inspired by the challenge at "Less is More" - this week the challenge is to include shimmer ... as well as a card challenge this week it seems to be a photography challenge as well ... shimmer is so difficult to photograph!!!  Trust me there is shimmer from a wink of stella pen and some glossy accents!

I used:
PaperArtsy EKD03 - designed by Kim Dellow
Inktense Blocks
UNIKO Simply Said
CUTplorations Stitched Rectangles

Challenge details:

Back to Back ...

What a difference a day makes ... yesterday it rained virtually all day but today the sun has been shining ... it is amazing the impact the weather has on my mood!!

I've been on a bit of a roll with my crafting this weekend so have another card to share with you:

I first die cut the streets on the front and back of the card before water colouring the houses with distress inks then added a sentiment.  Not a complicated card to make!

Damask and Butterfly ...

It has rained for most of today ... not good when you need to do some gardening but an excellent excuse to spend the afternoon crafting!  I was a bit slow starting as ideas seemed to be missing but once I had been inspired by the design teams at some challenges it wasn't long before I had ideas for a couple of cards.  I've already posted the first card and here is the second:

I first stamped and heat embossed a piece of card and then ink blended over the image with distress inks.  I die cut the circle out of another piece of card for the front layer, punch three small circles on the edge before adhering the panel to the card front with foam adhesive.  I die cut the butterfly out of some black card and adhered it to the panel added a sentiment and that was it!

I used:
STAMPlorations - Ditressed Damask Background Stamp
CUTplorations - Flutter Zen I die
Distress Inks - Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, Dried Marigold, Candied Apple
WOW embossing powder

I'm entering the following challenges:

A little bit different ...

I don't usually use coloured card for my base but today it seemed to be an appropriate choice ...

I stamped some cream card with background stamps using distress inks before die cutting some different sized hexagons which I then adhered to the card base.  The sentiment was die cut a number of times to provide added dimension.  I'd planned the card to be portrait but when it came to adding the sentiment it seemed to work better as a landscape card.

I used:
STAMPlorations - Mixed Media Elements
CUTplorations - Awesome die
Distress Inks - Vintage Photo and Rusty Hinge

I'm entering the following challenges:

Two stencils and one stamp ...

... that is all it took to create this card ...

Once again I was inspired by the challenge at "Less is More" - one layer with stripes and spots. I masked off the rectangle and then ink blended the stripes with distress oxides and the used black texture paste through a spotty stencil.  Added a sentiment and that was it!

"Less is More" #328

Before I go I have some more happy news to share ... one of my cards has been given an honourable mention over at TIME OUT challenges.  Thanks to the design team for choosing my card from amongst such beautiful entries ... I am honoured, Thank you.  This is the card:

I stamped the image and coloured it using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I stitched a border to the panel before adhering it to the card base using some fun foam to add dimension.

I used:

Versafine Onyx Black Ink
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers

Pink roses ...

Good evening ... time to share another card from my marathon crafting weekend ...

I had a piece of card that I had coloured with distress inks and stamped and heat embossed some images on - my intention had been to use it for a card but I didn't like it!! So out came my dies and the background made beautiful roses (in my opinion) - I die cut them in white as well as I needed solid images for the design so inlaid the white into the pink.  I cut some thin strips of washi tape to create the background, stamped the sentiment on a scrap of card and then assembled the elements using foam adhesive.

I used:

STAMPlorations - Subway Art Builders DARE
Cutplorations - Trendy Spring Bloom dies

I'm entering the following challenges:

STAMPlorations CUTplorations May Challenge - inspired by the pink flowers.

CAS Mix Up Reminder ...

Back again on Guest Designer duties with another card for the May challenge at CAS Mix Up. A quick reminder that you still have time to join in - so get out your card and stamps and have a go.  This month the theme is:

I hope that my card will inspire you to join in:

I stamped, heat embossed and water coloured the three peonies.  Trimmed the images and added a small scalloped piece of card to one edge.  I then added splatters to the card base with pink and black before adding some washi tape.  I grouped the images and adhered them to the card - one directly to the base and the other two with different heights of foam adhesive to add some dimension.

I used:
Hobby Art Clear Peonies Stamp set
Versafine Onyx Black Ink
WOW Clear Embossing Powder
Distress Inks - Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry

I hope that you will pop along and check out the other designers cards they are amazing - and while you are there why not enter the challenge!!

Yellow Lily ...

... sounds like the start of a tongue twister ... red lorry, yellow lorry, red lorry, yellow lorry ...

I find sometimes it is just impossible to resist trying out a new stamp set ... this is always the case when Bev, at UNIKO, comes up with a brilliant floral set!  If you are a frequent visitor to my blog you will know of my obsession with her Gerbera set ... I now have a new set to obsess over ... Lily.  This arrived yesterday ... so I just had to ink it!  This is my first go:

The photographs are not the best but the stamp set is!  I finished the card when I return from my print making evening class so had to take the photograph using artificial light and it just does not do it justice.  I'll try and pop back tomorrow with a daylight photograph.

I first stamped the image using hickory smoke distress ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I water coloured the image using two shades of yellow zig markers.  I die cut the image using stitched square dies before adhering them to the card base using different thicknesses of foam tape to add dimension.

I am entering the following challenges:
