In between gardening and housework I have managed to create two cards - one card I'm going to share today and the other you will have to wait a few days to see!!
This card I've created for the current sketch challenge at STAMPlorations blog:
I used:
STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies stamp set
Distress inks - Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean and Dusty Concord
Memento Ink - Dandelion
Enjoy!

Metal gears ...
Good evening!! It is a lovely spring evening in Oxfordshire ... the sun is still shining and the sky is a beautiful shade of blue. I love it when the daylight lasts it feels like you have more time to do things. I've been busy trying to sort my garden out progress is slow but it is starting to look better. I made time this afternoon to create a card ... my mind is cluttered with so much that taking time out to craft has been difficult. This is for this week's challenge at "Less is More" it is recipe week and the key ingredient is METAL.
This is the card:
The cogs have been die cut from a beer can (empty, of course!). I never seem to make specifically masculine cards but I think this works.
I used:
X Cut dies - Chronology cogs
Stampin Up - Gorgeous Grunge and Off the Grid Stamp sets
Versafine onyx black ink
Empty Beer can.
I'm also going to enter the challenge at TIMEOUT where the theme is Grunge with the optional twist of embossing - I'm not sure whether this is grunge enough!
Enjoy!

Return to crafting ...
It is ages since I was able to post on my blog - life has been very hectic over the last couple of weeks, family commitments have taken priority. I've spent much of the time at my parents in Lincolnshire rather than at home in Oxfordshire. Somewhere along the way I seem to have left my mojo behind! I guess it could be anywhere - on the roadside, in the car, in Lincoln Hospital or just hiding!! Wherever it is I wish it would hurry back!
This card has hints of my mojo but involved a lot of trial and error and a bin full of stamped card and die cuts!! I've missed two weeks of "Less is More" challenges but was determined not to miss a third - with this week's theme of SUNSHINE I thought I would try and create something bright and cheerful. This is my entry:
I used:
Clearly Besotted Geometric Style II Stamp Set
Lawn Fawn Milo's ABC
Die-namics Highrise Alpha die set
Memento Dandelion Ink
Distress Inks - Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade
Although I've not been crafting I have been lucky enough for two of my cards to have been showcased in a couple of challenges:
"Less is More" ShowCase Week 221 this card was showcased - thank you.
STAMPlorations Week 32 Sketch challenge - this card was a top pick for this challenge as well being chosen for the Stamping Sensations April challenge as one of the top 3!! Thank you so much for choosing my card.
Enjoy!
