Encouraging rainbow ...

Good morning all ... another day and another rainbow coloured card:

I inked up the background stamp with rainbow shades of distress ink and spritzed it water and then stamped it onto a panel of water colour card stock.  I stamped some of the sentiments with versafine ink and the others are from clear stickers.  I like to create cards that can be sent to friends and family when they need a bit of a boost.

I used:
Distress Inks: Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves and Wilted Violet
Memento: Dandelion Ink
Versafine: Onyx Black
UNIKO: Background Blocks Horizontal Stripes
STAMPlorations: Shine Bright Clear Stickers
Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Nesting Dies

This is the first outing for the horizontal stripes stamp ... this was a must have stamp when I bought it and yet it has taken me absolutely ages to break it out of the packaging ... it's not on it's own I have quite a few stamps sets that have yet to be inked!!!

I'm linking this card up to the following challenges:

Less is More ... Let's go dotty ...

Good morning, are you all set for the new challenge at Less is More?  This time it is everyone's favourite ... One Layer Card!!

Anything with dots e.g. images, sentiments, backgrounds

For this card I die cut the letters out of a sheet of masking paper and then stamped lots of individual dots through the negative space ... I wish I had a spotty background stamp as it would have been so much easier!!!  I then outlined the letters by piercing dots along one edge to add some additional dimension.  Then stamped 'birthday' to complete the sentiment.

As I had already die cut the letters I thought I would create a second card by using the letters as a mask:

I used the same small stamps and the same inks to create the panel of colour around the letters.  This time I pierced the inside of the letters to add a little more definition to them.

I used:
Simon Says Stamp:  Lots of Dots Stamp set
Visible Image:  Go To Words
Distress Inks - Festive Berries, Carved Pumpkin, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet.
Memento Ink - Dandelion
Versafine Onyx Black Ink

I hope you will join in with the challenge ... I would love to see your creations.

Stay Safe.

Exciting news ... you still have time to join in with the blog hop and linky party at STAMPlorations ... join in with the fun and you could win a prize!!

My project to inspire you is very clean and simple - a design that is versatile and could be used for many different occasions:

I used distress inks to create a water colour panel and added the clear sticker straight on top - a simple but effective technique.  I love these stickers because if I've gone to the trouble of creating a lovely water colour panel I don't want to ruin it by not stamping a clean sentiment!!

Painting ...

It would seem that my days have developed into quite a routine ... housework, followed by gardening and then into the craft room ... as long as we have fine weather and are under the shadow of Coronavirus I imagine that it will remain like this.

So this afternoon I created another card:

I took a tiny individual paintbrush stamp and created the line of brushes and then coloured each one with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a silver gel pen.  I stamped and die cut the sentiment before adhering to the card base using foam tape to add a little dimension.

I used:
STAMPlorations: Art Expressions
Versafine Onyx Black Ink
ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers

I'm entering the following challenges:

TIME OUT Challenge #161

As this is the first outing for these two stamps I will also enter:

Let's dance ...

Another day of gardening and a little bit of crafting ... just one card today:

A simple card created just with stamping, die cutting and water coloured image.  It was the sentiment that was the real reason for completing this card as it resonates with the current situation.

Double Flowers ...

Good evening, I hope you are all keeping well and safe ... I've spent the morning in the garden and the afternoon in the craft room.  Ideas are slow in appearing but at least I had one ...

Inspired by the new Twofer challenge the theme this time is Flowers - my favourite image, I love created cards using floral images.  Here are the two cards I created using the same stamp but for different events and different designs:

I stamped and heat embossed the image onto some water colour card before water colouring with Inktense pencils.  I stamped the sentiment with distress inks and fussy cut around the word leaving a small border.  I die cut the image and layered it onto to some green card before mounting it to the card base. I popped up the sentiment using foam adhesive to add a little dimension.

The second card is almost one layer!  I stamped and heat embossed the image straight on the card base and then used Inktense pencils to water colour it.  I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of card and adhered it to the card base using foam tape.

I used:
STAMPlorations: In Bloom - Perfect Petunias
                            Trendy Feathers 2
CUTplorations: Congrats
Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles
Versmark
Versafine Onyx Black
WOW Clear Embossing Powder
WOW White Embossing Powder
Inktense Pencils

I'm entering the following challenges:

As we all continue to adjust to a new way of living please stay safe.

Choose Happy ...

Good evening!!!  The sun seems to have taken a holiday today so I've been back in the craft room instead of the garden.  I've started a number of projects but only completed one!

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment.  I masked off the sentiment and then stamped the flowers, leaves and dots over the top.  That's all simple design, simple technique - the hardest thing was fussy cutting around the sentiment.

I used:
STAMPlorations:  Choose Happy
Dee's Artsy Impressions: Frames and Flowers
Distress Inks: Carved Pumpkin, Candied Apple, Twisted Citron and Crushed Olive
Memento Ink: Dandelion
Versafine: Onyx Black
WOW Clear Embossing Powder

Less is More new challenge ...

Good morning all!!  I hope you are ready for this it is time for a new challenge at "Less is More" this time it is a colour challenge:

I love white on white projects but it is fair to say that I have never just used white and cream quite a change for me and a bit of a challenge!!  But a challenge is what this is all about!

My first card to inspire you is literally just white and cream:

This card just involves die cutting, no stamping, it is a technique I quite enjoy.  The flowers were die cut three times and then stacked and adhered together to add dimension and interest.

I used:
Gemini - With Love die
Sue Wilson - Dandelion Posies
Lawn Fawn - Stitched rectangles

My second card is even simpler in design and just involves one die and one stamp!

Surely it is never too early to start the Christmas card stash!  Every year I get caught out when Christmas arrives earlier than expected ... strange really because it is the same date every year!!

I used:
Memory Box - Quiet Cabin Landscape
UNIKO - Simply Said II
Versamark
WOW Pale Gold Embossing Powder

Now it is your turn so get out your supplies put your thinking cap on and get creating.  If you still want more inspiration then pop over to the blog and check out the other designers I know you will not be disappointed by what you find.

Stay safe!

STAMPlorations May Challenge ...

As we start another month the UK remains in lockdown ... I hope you are all keeping well and staying safe.  I continue to look for distractions and find crafting helps me to deal with the situation as best I can.

If you are looking for a challenge why not join in with the May STAMPlorations Theme and Photo challenge:

I don't have any holiday stamps so instead went for the exotic plant and the colours from the photograph.  The sentiment is particularly pertinent for the time we live in and I hope proves to be true for all of us as we work through these difficult times.

I used:
STAMPlorations: Succulently Stamp set
CUTplorations: Succulently Coordinating Dies
Versafine Onyx Black ink
WOW Clear Embossing Powder

Check out the blog for more amazing inspirational projects from the design team.
