Exciting News ...

I have some exciting news to share ... I've joined the design team at "Less is More"!! I still cannot believe it ... in these uncertain times it was a lovely uplifting surprise ... I just need to ensure that I do not let the team down.  So here we go with my project for the new challenge starting today:

I love the effect that you can get by incorporating scribbles, drips and splats but I am a bit of a control freak and like to know what the ink or paint is going to do!!  Fortunately I have a number of stamps and dies that create this effect but under my control!!

My project:

The splat has been die cut from a left over piece of card I printed using my gel plate, acrylic paints and stencils.

I used:
Sizzix Tim Holtz Scribbles and Splat die set
UNIKO Simply Said Blocks
Stampin Up Off the Grid
Stampin Up Gorgeous Grunge
Memento Dandelion Ink
Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade
Versafine Onyx Black.

I hope that I have inspired you to join in with the challenge and look forward to visiting your blogs to check out your designs.

Stay home and stay safe.

Another use for bleach ...

It seems that part of my lockdown routine is to create a card ... first find a challenge that inspires and then get creating ... sometimes it is not as easy as I would like, in fact sometimes I think my mojo is on lockdown somewhere else!!!

Today's card:

I began by stamping and heat embossing the flower on coloured card, I then used bleach to remove some of the colour from the petals before using polychromos pencils to add some detail and depth into the image.  I used bleach to stamp the leaves onto the green card stock - I was delighted with the resulting images and the fact that they were yellow and not pure white (I did wash the bleach from the stamp as soon as I had finished stamping).  It is interesting the way coloured card reacts to the bleach.

I used:
UNIKO Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum
Visible Image: Go to Words
Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils
Versamark
WOW Clear Embossing Powder

The challenge that inspired this creation:

CAS MIx Up April Challenge
- as well as bleach my project includes die cutting, heat embossing, colouring with polychromos.
