Textured hearts ...

This is my second post for today but is the first card I started to make this weekend!  If you checked out my blog earlier in the week you will know that I am participating in another online class through Online Card Classes Clean and Simple - Techniques Made Simple 4. As well as learning some new techniques it is reminding me of techniques I have used before but forgotten!! (I put this down to old age!).

This card uses ideas from the course to use a negative die cut to create a stitching template, beautifully demonstrated by Jennifer McGuire.

The background hearts can be seen in this close-up
I created the heart background using gesso through a mask - as it is white on white it is not that easy to see but in real life it adds interest to the background.

I used:
Stampin Up Decorative Masks - Stars and Heart Set
Spellbinders Die D-Lites  Sentiments Two
Sizzix Framelits Hearts #2
Anchor Embroidery Silk

I'm going to enter the following challenges:

Inkspirational Challenge 75 Rose colours (reds/pinks)
Time Out - Challenge #23 Valentine's Day with the optional twist of hearts
Addicted to Cas - Challenge 56 - Hugs and Kisses

Enjoy!
