Ombre smile ...

Another working week begins ... and it's raining!!  Autumn is on its way and the evenings are drawing in - it will soon be time to switch on the heating ready for hibernation!  In the mean time I'm determined to find time for crafting so this evening after getting in from work I created a card before cooking dinner, this is it:

A simple layout and design using one stamp, a selection of inks and a word die.  I thought it might make a nice card to cheer up a friend.

I used:
Clearly Besotted Geometric Style stamp set.
Distress inks - Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch
CUTplorations "Smile" die

Once again, I've been inspired by the challenge at "Less is More" - the theme this week is "Diamonds".  My immediate thoughts were all about gem stones but a quick look at the inspirational designs by the "Less is More" team and I knew there was more to the challenge than I first thought!!

I'm also going to enter the current challenge at 'Addicted to Stamps and More' - where 'Anything Goes'.

It's time for another big 'thank you' this time for the fabulous design team over at AAA Cards they kindly placed one of my cards in their top three picks - Thank you.  This is the card they liked:

  1. Love your card, it's fab the way the die cut mirrors the colours on your fabulous stamped image! Thank you for visiting me! xxx

  2. Congrats on your Top Three pick! It's a gorgeous card. I love this week's LIM entry too - the camouflaged sentiment looks super and it was a great way to incorporate some bold diamonds into the design. Fab! x

  3. Very striking and clever card. Might I ask how you manage to be able to create a card in a short space of time?...if that were me we would never have got dinner!! lol

  4. Wonderful CAS card and I love the 'hidden' sentiment. Thanks for joining the challenge at ATSM this week.

  5. Congrats on your top three. I love your diamond card, it's so striking and clever too.

  6. This is simply CAS gorgeous. And that butterfly card -- not surprised it was a top pick :o)

  7. Super card and a great technique deployed for the LIM challenge this week

  8. Love your CAS design and your choice of colors is just perfect. Thanks for sharing at Less is More!

  9. I love that camouflage technique.
The summer is still hanging in here, but Saturday looks like a damp one! :)

  10. Stunning, striking, diamond perfection and it really makes me 'smile'. Brilliant take on the challenge Elaine and thanks as always for playing along at Less is More. Sarah x

  11. This is the stamp set I had on standby if my ring card didn't turn out as planned! I love how your diamonds create the larger diamond shape, and great colour choices too.
    Thanks for sharing with us.
