One Layer Wonder ...

Well it's been a very long week ... I realise it has only been as long as every other week in terms of hours and days but it is the first week back at work and it has been hectic ... I feel like I need another holiday to get over it!!  Anyway the weekend is here I've had a lovely day out with my daughter celebrating her birthday and I've even managed to squeeze in some crafting!

I have a card to share for this week's challenge at "Less is More" - it is One Layer week with the theme of 'colouring in'.

This is my card:

I began by masking a portion of the card where I wanted to place the sentiment.  I then stamped the image with grey ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder before water colouring the image with distress inks.  Then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and added a few splatters.

I used:
STAMPlorations - Blossom Sprays #2
Distress Inks - Picked raspberry, dried marigold, twisted citron and peeled paint.
WOW clear embossing powder

Challenge details:

Enjoy!

  2. Thank you, Elaine, for the great idea to mask the area for the sediment in the middle of a flower bouquet stamp! That especially works well for a OLC! And your coloring and splattering are fantastic!! Hugs, Darnell
