We're looking for CAS cards that feature die cuts as their main and focal point. We will accept the addition of a stamped sentiment, but not stamped images that have been die cut. As always our definiton of CAS means that white space should not be patterned, embossed or textured.
I love using die cuts to create cards. Recently have been die cutting from prints that I've created using acrylic paints on gel printing plates ... and today is no exception ... one design, two colourways.
I used:
Dienamics - High Rise Alpha dies
STAMPlorations - Birthday die
I hope you will be inspired to get out your dies and join in with the challenge ... if you need more inspiration pop across to the blog and check out the design team projects.
Enjoy!
Your card has been intriguing me since it popped up in the DT gallery. It's such a fabulous use of dies and the marbled effect on the card is amazing - now I know how it was achieved. Perfect card for a fella too.
ReplyDeleteI really love the first one, with the mossy, rusty feeling of the fonts, so striking
ReplyDeleteGreat cards, Elaine! Aah, I was also wondering what technique you used for the bold alpha die cuts. I've never tried it, may be I should. Have a great day! - Sweet Kobylkin
ReplyDeletePretty cards, Elaine. I really like how you used the acrylic paints to get that marbled effect.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Elaine. I need to get out my Gelli plate and create some things with it. I especially love the second one.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous, love the paint prints x
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing, Elaine. I've never used a gel press before, but it looks like fun =)
