Return of stitching ...

I wish I had something to say that was witty and entertaining or meaningful and insightful ... but no words spring to mind that are either so I'll just share a card with you ...

The inspiration for this card comes from the new challenge at "Less is More" the theme is ... "Bring Something Back".  When I first saw the challenge I had not got a clue where to start and then I had a 'light bulb' moment ... what about hand stitching!  So that was the starting point ... out came the embroidery silk and this is the result.  I then die cut the butterfly attaching it by the body only.  The finished panel was adhered to the card base using foam tape to add some dimension.

"Less is More" #369

  1. Swooning over stitching, I too thought of stitching, but I had been doing quite a few stitched cards, so it didn't make sense to call it a come back for me.
Loving your beautiful shades blue floss, I am tempted to pull out my embroidery needle now!

  2. And you've ROCKED the whole "return to stitching" with this card for the LIM challenge, fab make

  3. Beautiful card and stitching work. The butterfly die is delicate and elegant. Love the way you popped it up for dimension. Thank you for joining us at Less is More. x

  4. A very artistic card. I like your beautiful stitching and the pretty butterfly

  5. Perfect! And that doesn't just apply to your perfect stitching Elaine...thinking of embroidery floss and stitching on card was such a perfect idea. Your card is wonderful.
Thanks so much for sharing this with us,
    Less is More xx
