Earlier this month I created a card for my daughter's birthday (here) which I love but involved quite a few layers although the end result was Clean and Simple I wanted to see if I could create the same effect but in one layer! So after much thought and procrastination this is the card:
I'm quite pleased with the result ... I think there is room for improvement, I'll certainly try it again with other designs.

Twinkling H2O's - Golden Nugget, Raspberry wine.
Versafine Onyx Black Ink
UNIKO - Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum

Well done turning your old design into a one layer, I'd like to challenge myself to do something similar with some of my cards... Thanks for the inspiration! I love the repetitive stamping of the happy-sentiment and the artsy look of the background. The black and white floral image looks very graphic against the vivid colors of the bg.
