Wreath twofer ...

Good evening!! I hope you are well and keeping warm ... it has been bitterly cold in Oxfordshire today a sure sign that winter is on the way.  I've popped by to share a couple of cards that have taken me ages to make - you'll wonder why when you see them!! Unfortunately procrastination seems to be my enemy at the moment!! 



I stamped and heat embossed a panel with a background poinsettia stamp which I then water coloured using zig real brush markers.  The panel looked lovely as it was but I was determined to try and "think outside of the box" to create a design that looked a little different so I took the wreath die and cut up the panel!! The above is the result ... not quite a traditional wreath but it pleases me!


For my second card I used the same wreath die set, a butterfly die and a scrap of gelli printed card.  I think it's clear how it came together to create a minimalist, clean and simple design.

    You might be a procrastinator ATM, Elaine, but you sure make pretty art! That's what I think your modern Christmas wreath is! How cool that you were brave enough to die-cut a perfectly beautiful gold-embossed watercolored poinsettia to create this unique wreath and sediment! I love it! I also love your pure and crisp and CASlicious birthday card with the pretty blue and white butterflies! Love the hammered texture of your card base!     I love how you've thought outside of the box with these two beauties, Elaine. Using that gorgeous panel to create your Christmas wreath was a fabulous idea, and then die cutting the sentiment to match makes it all the more special. I really love the modern look you've achieved. And the CAS birthday card shows the versatility of that die to perfection. Sweet butterflies, too! Thanks for joining us at the Twofer Challenge! Bev

    Elaine, Both of these cards are wonderful, and I am blown away by how you used your die to create that ouside-the-box Christmas wreath! So glad you played along with the wreath challenge at Twofer.

    Love your 'out of the box' wreath Elaine, you could just use a stacked circle set as well I think to get the same result.
