Double Flowers ...

Good evening, I hope you are all keeping well and safe ... I've spent the morning in the garden and the afternoon in the craft room.  Ideas are slow in appearing but at least I had one ...

Inspired by the new Twofer challenge the theme this time is Flowers - my favourite image, I love created cards using floral images.  Here are the two cards I created using the same stamp but for different events and different designs:

I stamped and heat embossed the image onto some water colour card before water colouring with Inktense pencils.  I stamped the sentiment with distress inks and fussy cut around the word leaving a small border.  I die cut the image and layered it onto to some green card before mounting it to the card base. I popped up the sentiment using foam adhesive to add a little dimension.

The second card is almost one layer!  I stamped and heat embossed the image straight on the card base and then used Inktense pencils to water colour it.  I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of card and adhered it to the card base using foam tape.

I used:
STAMPlorations: In Bloom - Perfect Petunias
                            Trendy Feathers 2
CUTplorations: Congrats
Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles
Versmark
Versafine Onyx Black
WOW Clear Embossing Powder
WOW White Embossing Powder
Inktense Pencils

I'm entering the following challenges:

As we all continue to adjust to a new way of living please stay safe.

  3. Great job with Inktense pencils. You've inspired me to bring my Inktense pencils out and practice with them. I can't believe that you fussy cut the sentiment - I was sure that it was a matching die for a stamp! Thanks for joining us at Addicted to CAS

  4. Wonderful cards, Elaine! I love the truly brilliant colors on your congrats card - so cheerful! The soft coloring on your thinking of you card reflects a thoughtfulness of the sentiment and really makes those flowers look so different than on your congrats card! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

  5. Your soft watercolour pencil colouring is just gorgeous on both cards, Elaine! On the first, those lovely blooms are bold and vibrant, perfect with the fun sentiment! The 'you're on my mind' card is deliciously soft and dreamy ... that cascade of blooms is fabulous with all that yummy wite space! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)

  6. What a lovely job you did with the petunias, Elaine. The two cards have an entirely different feel although the image and medium were the same. Thanks for sharing your card at Addicted to CAS.
