Bloomtangled ...

I am so excited to be able to share these projects with you ... I've created two cards and a tag using the fabulous new Bloomtangled dies from STAMPlorations.  This post is part of the STAMPlorations Spring celebration - pop across to the blog and check out the inspiring projects from all of the Designers.

These dies are simply beautiful - I've had so much fun creating these projects - I've die cut the image and coloured the positive, coloured the negative and even used the "waste" by piecing it back together.  Are you confused? then take a look below.

Colouring the positive inside the die cut

Colouring the die cut (the outside)

Die cut from a gel print and the "waste" pieced back together - a fiddly technique but very satisfying!

Remember we are running a month long event inspired by Spring - don't miss out on the opportunity to join in as there are prizes to be won!

From Colouring Book to Cards ...

Good afternoon!  It is time for another blog hop and linky party over at STAMPlorations.  If you join in you will be in with the chance of winning a prize!

You may remember that earlier this month I showcased a couple of pages that I had coloured from this new colouring book ... if you missed it then you can check it out here.  In this post I'm delighted to show you the cards that I created by using parts of these coloured panels. I have to admit that I had never really thought about creating cards from colouring books but I am delighted to have tried and will be doing it again!

These are the designs that I created:

I used:
Bloomtangled Coloring Book
STAMPlorations  For the Birds Stamp Set (the Thank You sentiment)
CUTplorations - Hello Sunshine die, Bloom Happy Coordinating dies
Inktense Pencils
ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers
Stampin Up Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die

I hope that I have inspired you to look at the possibility of using the colouring book as a resource for making cards and other art.  Why not pop along and check out the amazing projects from the other designers and join in with the fun!

Enjoy!

Celebrating Colouring ...

It's National Colouring Book Day and to celebrate STAMPlorations are holding a party - these are the details:

You have the chance to win a copy of this new colouring book.  I've taken a couple of pages from the book to show you the different images.

The main part has been coloured with Inktense pencils and a waterbrush

The second panel could not be more different both in design but also in colour choices - from the subtle floral above to the not so subtle below:

This time I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers

If you pop along to the blog you will be able to download a sampler and join in with the fun ... you could be the winner!

Enjoy!
