I've been playing with alcohol inks recently ... makes a change from gelli printing ... creating backgrounds with added foiling. I love the effect that the gold adds to the panel. For this card I die cut lots of hexagons and then spent ages (and ages) deciding on the layout ... I must have tried hundreds of layouts before arriving on the above. I heat embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder before adding it to the card.
I'm entering the following challenges:
"Less is More" #373
Enjoy!
Brilliant geometric card, love the layout!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the best meals are made from recipes that have been reworked hundreds of time ... likewise, your work of art is just that because you took the time to come up with THE most delicious well-balanced design!! I really love it, Elaine! It totally rings my symmetry bell!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one who plays with a layout longer than I care to admit. Love your card. The alcohol inks are so fun, and your layout is spot on!
ReplyDeleteLove those striking colours in your hexagons, Elaine. And the layout is really unique and eyecatching. Great work.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
I love the effect you got with the hexagons after umteen attempts to make it feel just right for you. It's truly stunning with the AI inks. Everything just blends in perfectly here. I bet you were so happy with the result and well worth the time to get it 'just right'. So glad you shared this beauty with us at HLS Anything Goes with Dies Challenge. Love to see you join us again.
