Floral Corner ...
It has been a strange old week for me this week ... but I have found some time to get creative. Inspired by a couple of challenges I created this 'hello' card:
I stamped and heat embossed the floral image before water colouring with distress inks, I added the sentiment and that was it!

Red and Pink ...
I used some distress ink to blend and colour a panel of card before die cutting the hearts. I then took a stencil and using an embossing ink dabber inked up the background before covering in magenta embossing powder which I then heat set. Finally die cutting the sentiment and layering up the elements.

Navy and Cream ...
Unfortunately navy looks very black when photographed so you'll just have to take my word for it but the card stock used for the bubbles really is navy blue. Hopefully I will be in time to enter the challenge this time - the last challenge I was confused between EST and PST and GMT and missed the closing time ... at least I'm not trying to enter on the last day this time.

Red and Grey ...
I stamped and heat embossed the image before water colouring with distress inks. While to focal image was drying I created a water colour wash to create a background, using water colour paint adding some small splatters using distress inks. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment before adhering the elements to the card base with foam tape.

Pink and Brown Tag ...
I stamped 5 outline circles which I masked before using a collection of small background stamps to add colour and interest to the vertical line - for a grungy effect. I die cut and stamped 'Christmas' and adhered the panel to the tag with foam pads to add a little dimension.

Time ...
... and it is still raining as it has done most of this week ... not my favourite kind of weather but it does mean that I can justify spending a lot of time crafting!! So I thought I would share one of the cards I made today:
This card was inspired by The Male Room Challenge (see details below) using the colours from the current Color Hues Color Challenge of Blue and Orange.

Blue and Orange ...
Now this is an interesting colour combination for me and one that I don't think I've ever considered for a Christmas card!! I was inspired to try this combination by the current challenge at Color Hues: the color card challenge: I was stuck for ideas especially as I need to concentrate on Christmas cards so just 'went with the flow' ... I cannot decide whether I like the end result or not but here it is:
I heat embossed a background stamp before colouring with a water colour wash using distress inks and oxides. The geometric stag was also created in the same way before fussy cutting it out. The blue panel is flat to the card base and the stag is adhered with foam tape to add dimenson.

Cream and Gold ...
I was inspired by the challenge at Color Hues - to use the colours Gold and Cream. I've been making a lot of very CAS cards recently and just fancied making something with a few more layers. To me it still has a CAS feel to it as there is a lot of white space just more layers than I usually use.

Yellow and Green ...
I really am on a bit of a roll at the moment ... I blame Darnell at djkardkreations for this creation ... if you don't know Darnell please pop across and check out her blog she makes some amazing cards and writes such wonderful blog posts. I popped over to check out a recent card of hers and found out about a new challenge in the blogging world called: Color Hues: the color challenge. So I thought I would give it a go ... well it would be rude not to!!
It is quite a simple card just die cutting and a simple stamped an heat embossed sentiment.
The details of the challenge are:
Color Hues: the color challenge #1

There are some awesome designers involved with the challenge so if you don't have time to take part it is worth checking out.
Stay Safe!
